Can I try it before I buy?

Yes — app.getshoplog.com runs the full app right in your browser, pre-loaded with a realistic sample shop. No signup, no credit card, nothing to install. Every Pro feature is unlocked in demo mode so you can see the whole thing. When you're ready to use it with your own data, download the file or enter a license key.

What exactly do I download?

A single HTML file. Open it in any web browser — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. No install, no account, no internet connection required after download. It runs entirely on your computer.

Where does my data live?

On your computer, in your browser's local storage. No data is ever sent anywhere. There's no server, no cloud, no third party holding your financial records. Any browser — Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari — stores it the same way. 100% private. You can export a full JSON backup anytime.

What craft is this designed for?

All of them. The app asks what kind of shop you run during setup and pre-loads the right categories and units. Woodworker, leatherworker, metalworker, 3D printer, ceramicist, upholsterer, sign maker — if you make things and sell them, this is for you.

Can I run more than one business?

Yes — with Pro. Switch between businesses instantly. Your client list and vendor database are shared across all businesses because they belong to you, not to any one venture. Income, expenses, and projects are kept separate per business. Tax time becomes a clean report instead of a mess.

What if I start on Core and want to upgrade later?

Purchase Pro on Gumroad, copy the license key from your receipt email, open ShopLog, go to Settings → License, and paste it in. Pro features unlock immediately. Your data is untouched — no migration, no data entry, no file swap.

Can I use ShopLog on more than one computer?

Yes — a couple of ways, depending on your browser:

Any browser (manual sync): Export a backup from Settings → Data, drop the file into Google Drive or Dropbox, and import it on the other machine. Takes 10 seconds and works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari — anything.

Chrome or Edge (auto-sync): Point ShopLog at a Google Drive or Dropbox folder once, and it writes your data there automatically on every save. Open ShopLog on any other machine with that folder mounted and it detects the newer version and offers to restore — no manual steps.

Firefox note: Firefox does not support folder selection (File System Access API), so the auto-sync feature is unavailable. Manual backup/restore works fine in Firefox.

Mobile note: Mobile browsers (iOS Safari, Android Chrome) behave the same as Firefox — auto-sync is unavailable, but manual backup/restore works. To use ShopLog on a phone or tablet, download the file and open it in your mobile browser. Where downloaded files land and how to move them varies by device — consult your OS (iOS Files app, Android file manager, etc.) if you're not sure where to find it.

Will I get updates?

Yes. When a new version ships, you'll get an email from Gumroad with a download link. Replace your file with the new one. Same data, new features. If you use app.getshoplog.com, just refresh the page — you're always on the latest version automatically.

Does it work on a Mac?

Yes. ShopLog is an HTML file — open it in any browser on any OS. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge on Mac or Windows. The auto-sync feature (Google Drive / Dropbox folder) requires Chrome or Edge specifically, but everything else works in any browser on either platform.

What if you stop developing it?

You keep a working copy forever — the file you download doesn't expire, check in with a server, or require my involvement to run. I built this for my own shop and use it every day, so I have a strong personal reason to keep it going. But even if development stopped tomorrow, the file you have today keeps working. And your purchase stays in your Gumroad library permanently — you can re-download the file anytime, even years from now.
